Pilotage at Bosphorus and Dardanelles Straits

Pilotage is not compulsory for transit vessels but It is strongly recommended that pilots be used during navigation through the Straits so as to minimize the risk of accidents as much as possible.

If ships called any Marmara Ports or going to Marmara Ports, Pilotage is compulsory for Bosphorus and Dardanelles straits.
